I was looking for something else when I found one of the copies of my September 11, 1992 Hurricane Iniki notes that I made to send to a few relatives and friends on the mainland a few weeks after the hurricane. The original notes were scrawled through many pages of a stenographer notebook. I'm sure I have it stored somewhere, but I couldn't find it easily. I decided not to search more just so I could take photos of it. I know that it is somewhere in 15B.
I read the four typed pages that generated "instant video replays" in my mind…even sounds. I decided that I wanted to put those notes in an Artmail…for the record. I realized that I should put in some background information. I took photos of the four pages, but they would not be as easy to read online. I decided to have both, but the re-copied notes would have explanations interrupting the flow. They are necessary because what I did was an experiment that I may have been foolish to attempt. Part of the experiment had to do with a recent bodysurfing "stunt?" that I could sometimes do at Polihale.
