On New Years Rainy Day, this was 15B's view of its pond.

It has rained a lot and the road to Polihale is not in nice driving condition, so I've been staying mostly in Kekaha. I haven't been taking many photos because I've mainly been reading, doing chores, and doing experimental painting on cocopalm fiber which is interesting material to paint on with acrylics. I took some progress photos today which I have posted on the PFP Greenbacks page (after I upload part of this page). Later, as I paint along, what I put in the word balloons will change. I searched the Internet and didn't find any art done with cocopalm fibers how I plan to do it.

One of Lani's school drawings was selected for April 2005 in the Kauai Island Utility Cooperative's (our electric company) calendar. She was surprised to see that it was not the picture she told me was selected...one of a sunset with palm tree's. I'll have to get her to sign my copy which is on the my wall. Here she is with her April page drawing:

On the 2nd, Dr. Rick, the new Orthopedic Surgeon at KVMH (Kauai Veterns Memorial Hospital) in Waimea,and his lady, Janet, stopped by so they could follow Greg driving Steve and me toClifford's house for a garage party. He plays fine guitar and sings. He and Janet are from New York. They had been traveling in Australia and happened to stay at Doug's Rainbow Retreat in Nimbin, New South Wales. Doug showed them this website. Here's when I first met him (far down on the Artmail 119 page) at Tashi's Art Show (Janet hadn't arrived on Kaua'i, yet).

It's now the 8th. There was a lot of good music happening for a long time. I took photos at different times, but they are a lot alike.
