My view as I work here on the morning of the 3rd. To the left of center just beyond the tree is the Hula Platform where Hula is taught and performed. Straight ahead are the outdoor showers that I have sometimes used. The other photo is in the opposite direction. Nice work place, no?

When I left Russian Fort, I stopped at the store to buy some food then slowly, with two wheels on the paved shoulder, drove to Kolo's house. I told him what happened. He said Solomon had a painting job, but after he gets back they will look at it. I went across the street to Patrick's and told him and Kalalau Steve what happened. Tau came over and I told him the story. Patrick and Steve were on their way to the North Shore, but will return in a few hours. I had asked them what they knew about sleeping at the small boat harbor and which enforcement has jurisdiction. No one was sure, but Patrick said that when he gets back, he'll fix me up with an old fishing pole, pole-holder, enough line to have an unbaited hook and sinker in the water with a little bell to attach to the line. That's the way Hawaiians fish. No license in required and a fish camp can be set up for 24 hours as long as I have the line in the water set-up. My vehicle has to be at least 25 feet away from the mean high tide line. At the small boat harbor, I may be able to get my non-four-wheel drive van close enough to the water to pull it off. So that brings you all up to now.
After my batteries are charged, I'll go back to Kolo's. It's 3:30. Back to the Purple Feather People:

I am creating a series of collectors items supreme. I can do a lot of things with the rest of the 99 Polihale palm fronds. I have the first 12 fronds ready to paint. One has a broken handle. and this one...

...is a dry-to-begin-with Polihale palm frond. The part where the feather would be is missing. I'll be using another real feather (with a history) in place of the palm frond kind. I may dip the feather in some violet paint. Anyway, I'll have a bunch of characters in this story.
When ever I can get the web pages made, I'll be taking orders for the numbers of the Purple Feather People. The first 12 numbers are already taken, but, all, except for Number One can be bought. After all 98 of the others have homes, I am planning to have a private eBay auction for Number One...only owners of the other 98 allowed.
People come to Polihale from all over the world, many take back souveniers. They will pay a couple of hundred dollars for a nice shell lei. A few should certainly pay $100 for one of the 98 Purple Feather People. They can even reserve a number (first come, first served) for $50. Who knows, maybe one of these funny little Purple Feather People may be worth much more than $100 by the time I finish all of them...and Number One will be the BIG PRIZE. He will continue changing through time as I continue carving him with paint.
For your information, Clifford's mustache was the inspiration of the beginning of Number One, not Osama.

Reserve a PWP number now, send a $50 postal money order to me in Kekaha, or order through my eBay Store. Talk about a triptych, this artwork will be in 99 pieces. Imagine some one who wants Number One and a small group of PFPs. Maybe after he wins Number One, he may try to buy as many of the others as he can. The person who reserves a number can sketch a facial expression for me to use on his Purple Feather Person. I will use the same colors and style, though.
What do you think? Will it sell? Why not? It's a killer idea using the Internet, doing business from my beach...Polihale.
