A lot of the time I was painting on the Kanaloa palm frond.

I decided to give him a Hawaiian-type feather cape. And this Kanaloa has purple feathers. Yes, he will be an important character in the story of the Purple Feather People of Polynesia. It's really fun to paint these palm fronds. They are not acid-free or anything special for the art business. It crude...but, what's happening here is a unique art expression...and it's being published...here.

Neither of above activities lend themselves to photo shots. On Sunday, I was going to go out to Polihale and check my camp place, but Tashi invited me over for a fried jumbo shrimp dinner. I decided very quickly that Monday would be a better day to go out to Polihale and accepted the invitation.

It's very relaxing talking story with Tashi while watching the ocean...or the dogs.

Everything was soo good. After the first bite of the shrimp, I forgot about my camera. The next day I went out to Polihale. (It's only 12 miles away).

I saw Clifford at the Double-Burner Pavilion. We played a few ukulele tunes. Then I went to check out my camp.
