Aloha...
My laptop's working fine, now. I'm still waiting for my new floppy drive to arrive. They sent it to my Kauai address even though I repeatedly told them the address here in Ojai. I plan on buying portable solar panels for my laptop and a soft-sided footlocker to check in while traveling.
There are two options that I have for a Circle Pacific flight package which are good for one year. I couldn't find an affordable one like I had in '99 and '00 and I haven't decided which of the two I will purchase. I'll have to pay three weeks before it starts.
One starts in Honolulu > Auckland > Brisbane > Bali > Bangkok > Hong Kong > and ends in Honolulu. This is would cost me $300 more than the other because I would have to also buy a ticket from Los Angeles to Honolulu and there would be three interisland fares to buy. It also leaves out the Cook Islands.
The other would not go to Hawaii on the first leg. It starts in Los Angeles > Rarotonga > Auckland > Brisbane > Bali > Bangkok > Hong Kong > and ends in Honolulu. I would need to buy just one interisland fare to get to Kauai.
I've been working on getting something ready for my eBay store (BoomerangArt's). First, I'm going to put in 5 boomerang flying lesson tickets to have something in there, then I'll put in Santa One. I hope to get the tickets in today.
Last Sunday, I drove Scott and Beverly to the Long Beach airport in Beverly's car. They are now on the Queen Elizabeth II sailing to England. I'll pick them up at LAX on Tuesday.When driving back to Ojai, I drove through Ventura (where I was born) and I took drive-by photos of the first two houses where I lived...in the 1930's. Check out the "then" and "now" photos:

The Santa Cruz Street house. There's a little Boomerang Art standing on the wall of the porch that has been removed. I could find no old photos that showed the whole little house.
