Happy Valentine's Day. Yesterday, the 13th, early in the morning, I got a phone call from a friend who needed a jump start in Waimea. (I get up early in the morning). When I got back to 15B, and was shifting things from one hand to the other so I could unlock the door...CRACK!:

I dropped my empty coffee cup.

It was a beautiful day and driving back from Waimea, the sunlight was just right on the Old Kekaha Sugar Mill, but I didn't have my camera. When I looked down and saw the broken cup, I decided to take some photos including the one of me to use for this Artmail.

It's early in the morning of the 20th. I was checking out my morning links and stopped by the online Cook Island News. I had followed, via the Internet, hurricanes Meena, Nancy and Olaf while they were happening earlier this month. This page has map and links to photo pages (shot mainly on Rarotonga). Notice, Nancy made a special side trip to "kiss" Raro.

Now there's work to be done after the "cleansing" as there was on Kaua'i after hurricane Iniki on 9-11-92. I have my story of Iniki, but here is a story from the Northshore that came up first in the Dogpile search.
