This time of the year, I get too many requests through couchsurfing.com to surf my couch. Because of this, I have made a limit of one couchsurfer hosting per month. I have some camping equipment couchsurfers can use at Polihale and I do have one or two "sleep overs" which does not require as much of my time and space as "hosting."

Stephan, a couchsurfer from Germany, was a "sleep over" while he did his own things on Kaua'i. I did give him a quick tour of Koke'e and dropped him off where the trail to Waipo'o Falls now begins.

Stephan enjoyed the day and the hike even though there was little water at the falls. That weekend he hiked into the Kalalau Valley on the NaPali Trail. The night before he left the island he slept over in 15B. He let me copy his photos from the Kalalau hike some of which I will put on this page as I make time.
Stephan stayed at 15B the night before he left the island. We made two stops that day...

A couple of days later, Couchsurfer Dave B, from Illinois, slept over, ending the Hawaii portion of his around the world photo trip.

Another Couchsurfer, Linda C, from Seattle was arriving the next day a no rental cars were available, so I drove the Tercel to Clifford's and he drove me to the airport to pick up Linda. We left his place early so he could do some shopping. Here are some photos from that day:
