Boomerang Art lives on the Hawaiian island of Kaua'i . His studio is on the Westside in Kekaha. Art is a beach person and his beach stretches about 13 miles from Kekaha to Polihale. Both ends are used by him, the military base is in between. (Beach from space)
If, before sunset, you should visit Polihale beach at the end of the road, you may in the distance, see a man flying a boomerang as you've never seen before. The graceful beauty of the flight of the boomerang and the way the man catches the boomerang is art. Maybe, if the surf is right, you may see the boomerang flyer enter the water and effortlessly ride some waves and you may realize bodysurfing also is art.
If you ask a "local" on the beach - "Who is that guy flying the boomerang?" - the answer may be: "Boomerang Art... a retired haole school teacher. He's an artist who paints his boomerangs and paints masks that he makes out of coconut palm frond bases...he's a good brother."
Boomerang Art Froerer lives and has his studio in a Hawaiian community - Kekaha Ha'aheo - within Kekaha town. One part of his beach is two blocks from his studio.
