When you get to a fork in the road, the left branch, which is very bumpy, goes uphill a bit, the right branch goes flat on to the Day Area. In this photo, you can barely see another cane road that goes off at a sharp right. That's Lapa Ridge across the field. Go up on the left to the Camping Area. At the top, the first place to park is at Cane Top or The Painted Pavilion.
